Barras Home Improvements

We had a new bathroom fitted by Barras home improvements , great experience from start to finish. Bathroom fitted to very high standard by experienced tradesmen , all issues dealt with in a professional manner. I would highly recommend Barras for your home improvements.

This was the third time that we have used Barras Home Improvements, this time for bedrooms, and as ever we have been delighted with the end result. They offer a true project management service from initial conversations, through to design and installation. Everybody we interacted with over the course of the project was unfailingly pleasant, professional and couldn't have been more helpful in trying to minimise the impact of the building works on us.

Barras were outstanding from start to finish—we can’t recommend them highly enough. We got three quotes, but two felt flat and uninspiring. Then we met Gary, and everything changed. His enthusiasm, ideas, and attention to what we wanted made all the difference—and the end result is a stunning bathroom. The team arrived exactly as planned and were brilliant throughout: professional, respectful, and great to have around. Watching the bathroom come together was genuinely exciting. There were a couple of small hiccups (including a wrong shower cubicle), but nothing fazed them. They handled everything quickly and seamlessly. Special thanks to Gary, Malcolm, and Steve—true professionals and masters of their craft. A fantastic experience from start to finish.

In 2018 Barras home improvements did my flat following a sewer flood. We had loads of problems with their builders throughout the build but today we discovered something new… a drainage pipe behind the cupboards in my kitchen burst and what I found was disgusting. After taking the cupboards out I discovered that the pipe had an upwards trajectory and had been split at the bracket as well as coming out of the pipe. 2025 and those cowboys are still ruining my life. Trustpilot removed my review because it wasn’t a “recent” one but had to be fought through the ombudsman but this is recent…. It’s today. You can see the cowboy plumbing n the picture attached. Going to B&Q now coz I can do a better job than this. The drainage is from left to right and you can see where the pipe has burst at the bracket and come apart at the joint. Fuming…. Unless this company has had all new staff and new management since 2018 avoid them if you don’t want ongoing major issues…. There are many more but this is just today

We had Barras to design and fit our kitchen out.We are very pleased with the result. Excellent workmanship and a big thank you to Steve, Martin and Matthew. Would highly recommend Barras to anybody wanting a new kitchen. Also a big thank you to John, Gary and James for their input. Would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
