Blackstone Kitchens

I recently had my kitchen repainted 6 years following installation by Blackstone. It needed repainting due to wear and tear and because Blackstone’s had installed the kitchen we decided to use their restore service. Unfortunately the repaint was of such poor quality we complained to George Neal of Blackstone Restorations. Both my husband and I were advised by George on separate occasions that he would visit to review the work and address our complaint. In spite of several attempts to contact George (emails, WhatsApp, text messages and phone calls) he has steadfastly ignored us. This review is the first negative review I have ever posted and is a warning to other customers to be aware of the poor service provided by Blackstone Restorations.

UPDATE: within 2 months a drawer broke. They used the cheapest MDF, and drilled straight into the middle. You can see the split wood in last two pictures. We chose Blackstone’s Kitchens for their beautiful kitchen designs, but unfortunately, the execution and customer experience were deeply disappointing. From the start, communication was a major issue. We repeatedly had to chase updates on product orders and delivery timelines—often to be told things like “we thought you’d ordered it,” even in cases where we hadn’t been given essential details (like internal drawer measurements) to do so. We raised concerns twice about the poor communication, but little improved. The biggest letdown, however, was the quality of the paint finish. It was rough, patchy, and clearly not up to standard. We were told that because it’s a handmade kitchen, imperfections are to be expected—but that’s simply not true. With modern manufacturing, a clean, professional finish is absolutely achievable. Now, one of our doors is dragging on the countertop only a month in. After hearing nothing back from Blackstone’s regarding our complaints, we had two independent painting companies assess the work. Both confirmed the wrong type of paint had been used for a kitchen setting. We also consulted two friends in the trade who echoed the same concerns. The design may be what draws you in, but we wouldn’t recommend Blackstone’s based on our experience. The operations were poorly managed, the quality was underwhelming, and the aftercare was virtually nonexistent.

Absolutely love our kitchen and can't thank Blackstone enough for their amazing service. Everyone at Blackstones were professional and nothing was too much trouble. Megan listened to our requirements and got our design spot on The fitters Ben Luke and Nelson are amazing craftsmen and the finish on the cabinety is outstanding. James visited our project a few times to oversee and tweaked a few cabinetry details to make our kitchen even more special. We highly recommend this company and give it a 5 out of 5 star rating.

I would not normally take the time to post a review, but the Blackstone experience has been so positive that it made me feel it was necessary. My wife and I spent a lot of time visiting all the local Kitchen companies and we were beginning to feel that it was going to be impossible to find a quality of a hand made, hand painted bespoke kitchen that we wanted without having to pay an extortionate amount for it. Thankfully we were fortunate enough to find Blackstone and we very quickly realised that they were way ahead of what the competition had to offer. The whole process was professional and hassle free. From Lauren's excellent designs and amazing renders to Kevin's superb installation management and not forgetting Andy, Ryan's and Craig's meticulous installation and finishing. Blackstone are a first class team that will go the extra mile to ensure you are completely happy with your kitchen. This is a family run business with people who care about getting it right. We simply can not recommend them enough, Thank you Blackstone.

WOW. Kitchen and Customer Service second to none. Blackstone's designed and fitted our kitchen over the course of a couple of months at the tail end of 2017 and beginning of 2018 (Apologies for the late review, technical issues then my bad memory!). We visited many companies, showrooms and reviewed many websites but started and finished with Blackstone. None of the others could compare with the personable service we received and the quality of product so Blackstone won our business. We spoke with Patrick, the Manager of the design and installation along with James the owner himself and all gave up there time willingly whether our visit was planned or not because they knew they were the right people to give us the kitchen of our dreams. I think any of the Blackstone staff we encountered will probably smile when I say we were not their easiest of customers to please! Patrick, Emma, James and especially Graham need special mention on here as they certainly went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for us. Needless to say the kitchen has been installed perfectly and everything we asked for was accommodated. Even when things went wrong that were out of their control or by other services we employed, they still stepped up to do the right thing and help us out to ensure that their product was installed to the high standard that they promised. More recently, over a year later than when first installed, when we had issues with our dishwasher that damaged the door and surround, Blackstone stepped up again for their existing customer showing that even after all this time they still care and want their product look and be seen as the best. Karl in the office arranged everything for us and Graham, who again should get a special mention for his great customer service and brilliant workmanship, came out to us, replaced our door and made good all the issues we had. Our kitchen once again is stunning, my wife and I can again show it off and be the envy of all our friends with such a fantastic finished kitchen of our dreams.
