I wrote a review back in December 2021 saying what a nightmare I had with Vilius. Amazingly it has disappeared, but I will be happy to re-write this as often as necessary to warn others NEVER to use this man. He lies, he does not work as agreed, he begs for money in advance of what is agreed AND he does not pay his workers FACT. Other bad reviews have also disappeared! Please do not take a chance on this bad person. Feb 2023 - this is a response to the reply from the 'owner' of Eco Design shop. 1. The Owner of EcoDesign Shop according to companies house is Vilius Giedrikas and he is the person my review relates to. The person who wrote the reply to my review is, I am highly confident not Vilius, based on all verbal and written interactions with him as his English whilst fluent is not of this level. Whilst it is not unreasonable for someone to write on Vilius' behalf, we have had no dealings with whoever wrote the response. 2. I do not know how you could know who the 'owner' of my apartment is. I live in the said apartment with my partner who was the main contact with Vilius. However, I saw Vilius a number of times as well as his workers (when he and they appeared.) 3. The only 'threat' I made to Vilius was that I would call the police if he didn't leave my flat at 8pm at night. He was refusing to leave for fear we would not pay him the remainder of the money. He knew how mad we were with him for the delays, the poor work, failing to bring materials etc so he feared we would not pay. He made my partner send a written message to him before he would leave, confirming what we owed him, which we did. This was SO ridiculous and unprofessional. We had already paid 2/3rds and had a contract so of course we were going to pay him! 4. Vilius advised us we could start the project in early November as the tiles from Italy would arrive in 1 week. We had sourced the EXACT same tiles in London but he insisted to go through Italy. He lied for 6 weeks about the delivery of these tiles as he had not ordered them until later than he claimed and kept telling us 'they are on their way'. After weeks of chasing him he told us they 'had not yet crossed the border' implying they were at the border, but later revealed they had never been collected. Had Vilius ordered the tiles when we had asked and he had assured us he had, there would have been no 'christmas delays'. 5. On some days we had workmen literally sitting in our living room for hours saying they couldn't work because they were waiting for Vilius to deliver materials, which often never arrived. 6. We had an agreed payment plan with Vilius which we stuck to 100% our end, but Vilius repeatedly asked for us to withdraw cash to give to him because he was running out of money! 7. He argued and shouted at his workmen who insisted they needed time and materials to do a good job, but Vilius pressured them to work faster and cut corners. Two tilers who were excellent walked out on him and he brought in a random tiler who was so bad even Vilius said the tiles all had to come back off and start again. 8. Two of his workers asked us if we had paid Vilius as he was refusing to pay them insisting we had not paid him!! This was a lie as we paid everything owed. 9. According to the contract with Vilius our job was supposed to be finished in 3 weeks. In the end it took 8 weeks. That's nearly 3 times longer to do a small bathroom installation. The tiles delays were only part of the reason, much of the other unrelated work also took weeks longer than agreed. 10. The work overall was poor - we had to get decorators in afterwards, the electrics stopped working after a few months, the grouting was messy and the shower not sealed properly. 11.
