Hobson's Choice are a lovely company to work with. The staff are very helpful, efficient and professional and Charlotte in particular is a pleasure to work with.

During the last year we have had extensive renovations, including a kitchen and an en-suite, done by Hobson’s Choice. They were unfailingly helpful and professional right from the initial consultations, through the design process, and to the eventual work. A big advantage (and one which was a make-or-break condition for us when choosing a firm) is that the installations were done by their own tradespeople; this meant that Hobson’ Choice were able to maintain their very high standards for both the goods and their fitting. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Hobson’s Choice.

We bought a new build property ‘off plan’ in 2018 but chose to have a bulthaup kitchen installed by Hobsons Choice rather than the one supplied by the developer. This turned out to be a very good decision. During a problematic two year build the service we received from Natasha and Richard was exceptional. They had to contend with design changes to the building, site issues caused by the developer and finally having to carry out the main installation work during lockdown. In spite of all these issues the final result is stunning and we couldn’t be happier with our kitchen. Natasha, Richard and their colleagues at Hobsons Choice get 10/10 from us and we recommend them without hesitation.

Our experience of Hobson’s Choice has always been excellent. From the design and efficient install of our kitchen in 2013, on time and delivered on budget, to the ongoing aftersales support. Still helping us today 7 years on! We purposely chose renown, premium brands for our kitchen appliances expecting high-quality products and long-lasting reliability. Unfortunately, we have faced several issues over the years, none of which were caused in any way by Hobson’s Choice installation. As each issue arose, some inside, some well outside, of the respective manufacturer’s warranties, the aftersales service Hobson’s Choice provided was so responsive and helpful. Supporting us with dealings with the manufacturers and providing guidance. Experience has shown us that anyone can have a rogue appliance, no matter the brand. But not everyone has Hobson’s Choice behind them to help make it right when things go wrong. We would like to thank Richard Carter and his team, they never walked away when we believe many others would have done. It is their level of customer service that distinguishes them from all other competitors.

We recommend Hobson's Choice, and Phil Harflett, without reservation. Phil carefully supported us as we worked through the many decisions required in kitchen planning. He has a gentle, professional and very courteous style which made it easy to design the kitchen with him. He didn't impose his view or opinion, instead always responding to what we wanted while giving honest feedback, with explanations/examples, if something we were thinking about wouldn't work so well. The quality (in construction and appearance) of the kitchen is very high. Our builders fitted it and said they rarely install units that are so well made, with such sensible installation processes. We did have a problem with one door; the factory had sent the incorrect finish on one panel. Mark, a Hobson's Choice fitter, came quickly to resolve that. He was great - another very courteous professional. We have been really pleased with the support and service we received, and with the kitchen. We have had it for over a year now and don't regret any aspect of it because it was so carefully planned by Phil. It looks as good as when it was first fitted. Of course it is a little more expensive than kitchens from some well-known large companies, but 1. the extra cost wasn't as large as we thought it would be 2. there is no doubt you get what you pay for, both in service and quality.
