From the very start of the process it felt like we’d come to the right place. They listened and gave us a number of options. They were so friendly and offered us time to decide exactly what was right for us. The fitter was brilliant, he made our kitchen come to life. The whole experience was fabulous and I would recommend James James Kitchens to everybody.

The kitchen looks amazing and really complements the renovation of our apartment (it’s been transformed from a 1980’s decor to a sleek modern apartment with a slight Nordic theme).
Our experience of choosing a James James Kitchen definitely receives 100% satisfaction. From start to finish, there was someone on hand to deal with any questions/concerns we had (especially Julia).
The high quality of the product is noticeably better than other kitchens I have installed over the past years.

We were also surprised that the pricing of the kitchen wasn’t too dissimilar to the bigger brands, in fact the cost of the white goods came in at ~10% less than we could source independently.

Amazing customer service from Julia, a very talented young designer who’s attention to detail and obvious experience, managed to incorporate all of our requirements into a custom built kitchen! The build quality of James James kitchens is excellent and now installed is better than we imagined; a great kitchen for a very reasonable price. From the initial fact finding meeting, then home visiit through to the design stage and finalising the order was a seamless and faultless process - thank you to all at James James for providing the perfect kitchen solution for our new home.

I had high expectations when choosing James James as a local, established business for a bespoke kitchen, but unfortunately, my experience fell short in several key areas.
While their design work met expectations, the customer support and communication throughout the installation process were inadequate. Despite promoting their expertise in bespoke kitchens, there was limited guidance provided during critical phases. Both my fitter and I had to make repeated enquiries, which led to avoidable delays and disruptions. This level of oversight and communication is something I would have expected to be more seamless, given their specialisation.
Additionally, incorrect items were delivered, causing further delays. There was also confusion with their quartz supplier, who—despite two prior visits to template—only informed us on the final fitting day that final flooring had to be in place and the legs supplied by James James were too small , resulting in a four-week delay. The lack of coordination added unnecessary time and frustration to the project.
When I raised these issues with James James their response was disappointing, as they declined to accept any responsibility (despite being incredibly apologetic on site and advising they had not experienced this type of issue before and would raise this with their suppliers directly). Despite my request for a goodwill gesture based on the level of inconvenience experienced, they chose not to acknowledge the impact these issues had on my overall experience.
Overall, while James James may deliver quality designs, my experience as a local resident who wanted to support a local business highlighted a lack of customer support and accountability when challenges arose. For anyone considering their services, I would recommend ensuring that every detail is meticulously clarified up front to avoid similar issues.

While I appreciate your efforts to clarify, I must emphasise that your response here once again deflects responsibility rather than addressing the specific concerns I raised regarding communication gaps and lack of accountability. Although you acknowledge errors on both sides, such as the incorrect leg height and missing shelf, you fail to recognise the cumulative impact of these issues and dismissed my goodwill request without any counterproposal or genuine engagement.
Your comments regarding my installer and the plans provided are also misleading and, in some cases, inaccurate. My installer did, in fact, receive the plans, but the lack of specific guidance for certain bespoke elements left us with unresolved questions, which caused delays. Furthermore, had your team provided clearer instructions from the start, we could have avoided the confusion regarding the need for on-site adjustments. For a company that prides itself on a bespoke approach, I expected a higher level of proactive support, particularly as it was your own quartz supplier who, after two visits, only informed us on the day of installation that the flooring needed to be in place.
As I highlighted in my review, the request for a goodwill payment was not an unreasonable demand but a fair acknowledgment of the time and inconvenience caused. Instead of demonstrating flexibility or willingness to meet halfway, your response dismissed this outright. While I am pleased with the design and final product, the lack of accountability throughout the project was disappointing.
I hope my experience encourages future clients to clarify expectations upfront and consider the level of support needed for complex projects, as this fell short of what I would expect from a bespoke service provider.
Here are just some of the photos of how your quartz supplier left our property removing all strength from the cabinet to the point it split. All of this has been previously shared with you and as a final point you did not visit my completed kitchen, instead you asked me to attend at your showroom which I declined.

James James designed and installed our kitchen last year which we were very happy with. The quality and the workmanship is flawless. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending James James to anyone looking at getting a professionally designed, bespoke kitchen.
