The price crept up, with poor transparency on the final costs of appliances and extras, which led to a very expensive kitchen. This (along with what we were told by Gary) led us to believe the installation would be high quality. Sadly, we had a number of issues, as Jason and his tradespeople often had poord standards of workmanship. These issues included: Plaster which has cracked in several places. Light switches not being placed in the right room until we'd argued about it several times. Floor tiles were laid poorly - not aligned to any of the walls, with lippage all over the floor due to levellers and corner clips not being used. We tried saying we weren't happy when they'd been partially laid but were pressured into accepting them, which has ultimately led to a flooring job that we hate but can't be easily resolved. Paint was slapped on so badly that we have 3-dimensional paint marks all over the walls, and there are many bits that I have to repaint post-installation. A pipe leading into the new radiator came off, flooding the floor. Extractor ducting that was vented into our bathroom, rather than directly outside, which we had to explain was a bad job when bathroom water started dripping onto the hob! And airflow ducting that is supposed to vent outside but was simply vented into our wall void - something I've had to redo myself since. You'd hope, especially for the price, to get tradespeople who take pride in their work, but this wasn't the case. Jason attempted to get away with several of these bodges until challenged, and his first instinct was always to argue and blame the house, rather than admit the job was poor or botched. Now, KH will claim that Jason and his tradespeople are not part of their business and so KH can't be responsible for their work, but the reality is that we were not given a choice and were told that Jason was their go-to installer. So, whilst our new kitchen is miles better than the one we had before, we had so many issues with the shoddy installation that we cannot recommend it or feel it was value for money. You're best off going to Wren or Magnet.

We had thought long and hard about which way to go for a new kitchen in a new extension, although the mainstream stores may seem to offer good value we thought we will just have a series of stacked boxes stacked next to each other with no real thought of how that interacts with the space it occupies. We wanted something that would be more carefully crafted. Gary understood what we wanted and created a design with a top quality German Kitchen. We have a kitchen that will remain for many years aesthetically interesting and practically useful.
We were directed to 'Blink installations Ltd an Jason did a great job fitting. We would recommend Kitchen House.

We had a small kitchen job done which Kitchenhouse carried out with the utmost competency. It comprised two new fridges and a new sink which entailed cutting and shaping an existing granite worktop.
I have no hesitation in recommending Gary and his team.

We purchased a kitchen from from Gary several years ago. Recently we had to go back to him to ask if he could obtain a door handle that had been damaged when we used a local company to clean the oven. The handle was for a Siemens oven and not what you would call cheap. He managed to obtain the handle in a few days and did not want payment saying please accept this as a free of charge goodwill gesture. This is the second time he has replaced an item free of charge over the last few years.
I would say this is excellent after sales service from Kitchen House and what prompted my review.
When we purchased the kitchen we were given lots of useful advice on our visits to the showroom and our needs and requirements were listened to. Gary was able to draft up the plans quickly and was happy to change as the design evolved.
From the point of planning, order, delivery and installation everything was efficient and arrived on time.
Even after a few years the kitchen still looks lovely and the team who fitted the kitchen were very good, helpful and took pains to clear up after each stage of the work.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Kitchen House

Gary is a good kitchen designer with some great ideas, however, we've had a few issues with communication. We had our kitchen fitted abour a year a go by one if his external gutters, but not overly impressed with the job, a few things wrong, slow to respond and had to argue the toss over some minor details despite spending a huge sum of money.. We've now had a kitchen unit that has dropped, causing drawers to rub against each other.. rang to inform, but no response from them. Seem to be happy to take your order but not much good on the customer service. I'd recommend hacker as a quality brand, but would go elsewhere for fitting..
