Called and asked if they could route a hole in two tabletops of mine. Was told the joiner would have a look and to pop them in next week. When I did, very abrupt and rude bloke on the desk just said he wasn't going to ask, and it's not something they do, proceeded to get on looking at his screen. Was only a small job and I had cash waiting. Terrible customer service for the attitude, rather than anything else.

Husband decided midweek he wanted to build a shed at the weekend. He rang up and found it super easy to have it delivered on the Saturday and ordered over the phone. The delivery came early and the man was very cheerful. While my husband built the shed he kept saying "good quality wood this" and the shed has been standing for three days now so that's a thumbs up from me. We're slowly doing up our house and will definitely buy from here again!

So where to start here. Been going to see Alan Nordstrom since we started the company off as a limited firm in 2008. Alan’s Nordstrom has always been lovely and helpful and his staff are great to deal with. They respect the customer and always try and bend over backward for their orders. Deliveries are prompt and accurate and with zero damage. Their oak in particular looks amazing in my home especially the stair cases etc. Try it. The investment in the new buildings is truly remarkable and the finish of the offices and warehouses is exceptional. Even down to the toilets. The fact that Alan and his family are still so committed to the success of the business is truly remarkable, when most other folk would retire. As an independent timber merchant and supply yard they have their prices as keen as any and are always on hand to do little Discounts and savings. Alan always saw success in our firm, and that success and admiration is duly returned with their fabulous new setup next door. Some of the staff are ex joiners and that helps when they know what you are talking about. Mind you, there’s probably only 8 or 9 fingers between some of them due to a history of working with circular saws lol. Best stop on those tills lads. Always a pleasure and always a laugh.
