Ornate did an excellent from start to finish. The kitchen fitting was carried out to a very high standard, with great attention to detail, and everything was left clean and tidy. I got them back to design my bar , again the guys did an amazing job …I’m really pleased. Thanks to Sam Ziggy, and Oz.

We would not have wanted any other company to have carried out our project. Every single person involved was professional, highly skilled and considerate of the fact that we were living upstairs for the duration. It was incredible to witness the transformation over the 11 weeks, and not once did my confidence and trust in them waiver. The project began with the need for a new kitchen, a prospect for me that was daunting and complex as I didn’t have a clue where to start. Sam arrived at the house, and his calm demeanour immediately put me at ease. We discussed not only the kitchen, but our need to renovate the downstairs completely, and by the time we had finished the conversation it was obvious that it made sense to tackle it all at once. Sam could see what we were aiming for, and that one of the important factors was to maximise light coming into the house with the help of colour choices and styles of doors. The first proposal showed that Ornate understood what we wanted, and created beautiful and practical living spaces. We gradually decided on the right budget, as we were not sure where to pitch it at the start, and with Ornate’s patience and hours of their time, we got to the final design and products. Monika was the guiding light for the kitchen, created a room I wasn’t even capable of imagining, and kept my desire for ‘everything pale’ in check as of course we needed balance. Monika showed us that our kitchen could be beautiful, and then I could visualise it. With Monika’s expertise, a few gentle nudges and pointers, looking at and mixing and matching samples, the right combination became apparent. Monika is not only an amazing designer, she also held my hand through decision making, and when I was getting wobbly about the worktop choice she took me to the stone suppliers warehouse to view all the options, and spent hours with me to find the right light for a special spot in the kitchen. Thinking the process would be stressful, I was very surprised to feel a sense of relief once the demolition of ceilings, floors and cabinetry began. This was because I trusted them completely and Oz and Ziggy were very reassuring. Oz was our on site project manager, and he kept us up to date with what was happening and when. He was a joy to have in the house, friendly, fun and professional. He is multi-skilled, generous with his time, a creative problem solver if needed, and his determination to create perfection more than impressive. This approach ensured that all stages were carried out to the highest standard and always checked. For example, the floor tiling is absolutely level with the wooden floors, the mirrors in the gym perfectly aligned, the kitchen installation exactly as it should be. Ziggy has great attention to detail and would cast his expert eye over everything looking for imperfections. He is very passionate and conscientious about everything from tile choices to installation and very aware of products in the marketplace. Sam was behind the scenes, helping to ensure that everything stayed on track, and any unexpected issues that arose with the supply chain or products, as they will in a project this size, were swiftly dealt with. As a result of having Ornate experts and Ornate resourced plumber (Simon), electricians ( Callum, James and Kynan), carpenter (Paul), plasterer and decorators ( Dom, Paul and Chris) and home security ( Sonny and Am), the transformation of our living space is exquisite. It is perfect for us, and the very high standard of workmanship is very obvious. All the team were great at clearing up at the end of the day, leaving the house as tidy as possible, and always an eye on safety for them and us. Thank you team Ornate - we will definitely be seeking your help with future projects, and would recommend you to anyone wanting to do a kitchen or interiors project.

From the very beginning when we met Monika at the Ornate showroom in RTW, she was very good at understanding what we were after and putting on paper our vision. By this stage we had already done extensive research of the usual suspects like Magnet, Ikea, Howdens and only came out frustrated. I thought initially that perhaps our project and budget wasn’t big enough for Ornate but that was absolutely not the case. They were totally committed seeing our project through to the very end, and truly made us feel that we were important as their client. The initial design meetings were all with Monika, who then drew up plans and it was fabulous to see our ideas come alive. Following that and once the build was on its way, Monika came on site twice with Oz. All was measured and checked again so it wasn’t just a pretty vision but they were able to execute it and no silly mistakes or oversights were made. With all builds there are moments when things don’t go completely as planned but they were so flexible and understanding plus worked well with our builder. During the entire build I was also undergoing cancer treatment, but this part of life never felt stressful as I just felt in safe and competent hands at all times. I’m very happy we used Ornate’s kitchen fitters and not our builders. While our builders were great, the attention to detail we got from the kitchen fitter was second to none. On top of that he was a truly lovely guy to have in the house. There were so many moments that showed clear attention to detail. For example, we chatted with Monika about the plugs, colour & look and feel. We did find the perfect ones in the end and they matched perfectly. Rob, the kitchen fitter, suggested a different way of placing one of the handles, which again was a totally perfect suggestion. Monika also made the worktop people come back for a tiniest of mistake – I’m usually quite a perfectionist, and I had spotted it but didn’t think it was anything too bad. They came back, no grumblings and finished it all off to absolute perfection. The whole team were an absolute delight to work with and I can’t recommend Ornate Kitchens enough.

We couldn’t be happier with the Ornate team and would very much recommend them. What sets them apart is the following: a) the ability to understand and plan around a wider house refurb, which is invaluable, as it makes for a client-centric approach (not the norm with many other high-end kitchen designers who focus just on their part). We had a broader house timeline, budget and problems along the way which all had to be factored into our decisions with the kitchen. The guys totally got this and were patient and agile ; b) practical design-led advice with firm nudges when needed. Sam has an interior design background and Os and Ziggy are kitchen fitters by trade and it is this combination of skills and perspectives that makes the guys really stand out. Sam doesn’t let things drop and acts as a much-needed project manager whom we needed when having to make 1000 other decisions regarding the house. Os fitted the kitchen and he is incredible at his job. The level of precision is second to none, with a desire to get things just right. He is excellent at communication and a really nice guy to have around; and c) being good fun, accessible and on the same level as us. Seems like a silly USP, but house projects can be tiring and stressful and it has been a joy communicating with these guys. To add, we sourced our own worktop due to budget constraints, but who helped us still? Ornate of course and this sums them up - there to get the job done and end up with a happy client, even if that means them stepping into places and spaces that aren’t theirs, but they can add value to. Given my lethal combination ;-) of OCD tendencies, an eye for detail and initial overwhelm having taken on the house with a newborn in tow, this wasn’t an easy project for the team, but they have done amazingly.
