Partnering with Shaker & May to create a kitchen layout for our Lyndhurst showroom display of stone worktops, splashbacks and detailing has been so supportive and collaborative – working with the design team has been an absolute pleasure. Their knowledge and expertise combined with the high-quality craftsmanship in their bespoke, handmade kitchen units made Shaker & May the perfect partners for this project. A time sensitive installation period was expertly supported by their highly skilled installations team, for whom no on-site issue was unsolvable. We approached Shaker and May in early March this year. Our project was to include new flooring and re-wiring which their sister company Gem Solutions were able to deal with. The designer, Jessica Witt, was extremely helpful in helping us with the upgraded design and helped work to a budget we had set. The whole project ran smoothly with both companies working side by side, therefore reducing potential delays whilst waiting for different trades to carry out their designated duties. Paul and Harry carried out the installations efficiently and we watched with interest whilst all works were carried out. We cannot rate Shaker and May highly enough and would absolutely recommend them to anyone thinking of taking the plunge. Our experience was incredible throughout. Every member of staff we came in contact with had the same warm, amenable approach and seemed dedicated to making sure we had the high end kitchen of our dreams. Megan was phenomenal throughout and I felt like I ended the project with a friend! Her design skills were incredible and no matter how many ideas we threw at her she swiftly incorporated them in to our design leaving us with a truly bespoke kitchen that you just couldn’t order ‘off the shelf’. Meg strikes a brilliant balance of helping guide and giving suggestions whilst allowing you to make your own mind up. Julia and Megan work as a real team and Julia’s input was always just as valuable. They bring very different styles to the table but meet in the middle perfectly. It’s very unique to be able to give guidance on style but adapting that to the individual style of the customer. They are both very talented at what they do but also go out of their way to ensure you feel like their top priority. When it came to fitting the kitchen Paul and Harry were absolutely fantastic. Their attention to detail is phenomenal and they are so incredibly skilled at what they do. They are also lovely to have around the house and nothing was ever too much trouble. We couldn’t be happier with our kitchen/utility/garden room and have no regrets about going for the bespoke option or choosing Shaker and May It really says something when you are sad to see a project end as the team were so lovely to work with and had temporarily become a part of life! What a fabulous company this is. The team are incredible. Megan and Julia helped us with great design ideas and were happy to spend all the time needed to settle on a design that we are beyond thrilled with. Paul and Harry are perfectionist at what they do and were easy to have in your home while they were fitting the kitchen. And Frosty even visits to ensure the paint finishes are perfect at the end of installation. Everyone has been wowed when they first see our new kitchen, beautifully designed, built, painted and fitted. As maybe you can tell, I can’t recommend Shaker and May more. Thanks guys.
