Wickes Luton

Absolutely shocking customer service. I went into this store to buy paint and asked a very simple question — whether a product was suitable for wood and metal. Instead of offering any help, the woman on staff just told me to “read the label at the back.” Completely dismissive, lazy, and unprofessional. What exactly is the point of having staff on the shop floor if they can’t be bothered to answer basic questions? The woman (wearing a headset and glasses) made the whole experience worse with her attitude. No effort, no courtesy, nothing. Honestly, it would make absolutely no difference whether she was working there or not — that’s how unhelpful the experience was.

I lost an important receipt from a purchase made a few months ago and went back to the store for help. Carl was extremely helpful and took the time to assist me in recovering it, even though it was a busy time of day. He showed excellent customer care throughout the process. Very happy with the service.

I had a very uncomfortable experience at the Wickes store in Luton. I came to return flooring and wasn’t aware that returns had to be processed first. Instead of explaining politely, a staff member with “MVW” on her shirt loudly told everyone that the cameras would need to be checked, making me feel embarrassed and like a thief. I understand store procedures, but this could have been handled discreetly and respectfully. Customers shouldn’t be humiliated for not knowing the process.

Went today, staff were extremely rude and unprofessional, will not be attending the site again. Blonde woman with glasses and white lad with brown hair. Very agressive and impolite.

Absolutely first rate service from Wicks. Went in to buy a new cutting disc wasn’t sure what I was after. One of their associates was on hand I am sure he was Canadian or American and pointed out the one I needed for Porcelain / Tiles brilliant tile disc cut about 30 tiles 6mm thick. And still has loads left on it. May of cost a little bit more but I would recommend to anyone that needs help to speak to this guy. Absolute Star in my eyes 👍👍
