Wickes Slough

I regularly experience poor customer service there. Many times when I ask for items, I am told they are out of stock, even though the online system shows they are available, and the products are often still in the storeroom. The staff frequently say they do not have a forklift driver available to bring items down, so they cannot provide the products. As a result, I often have to leave without buying what I came for. Today I visited the branch to buy plasterboards. I was told they could not get them because there was no forklift driver available. I asked to speak to the manager, but I was told the manager was on a break. I waited for around 30–40 minutes, but the manager never came back, so I had to leave without my order. I even spoke to the security guard, who said this happens regularly and that the staff do not seem to care about customers. This level of customer service is very disappointing and unacceptable. I hope you will investigate this matter and improve the service at the Slough branch so that other customers do not have the same experience. Thank you.

Wickes Slough is a good store for all your DIY, building and home improvement needs. They have a decent range of products at reasonable prices, and the store is well laid out so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for. Regarding parking, it’s free for the first 90 minutes. If you stay longer than that, you just need to get your ticket validated at the counter to avoid paying. The staff are generally friendly and helpful, and happy to assist if you need advice or help locating items. Overall a reliable place to shop for your projects!

Good variety of stuff, due costs not enough staff and trolleys. The store apparently has on 7 trolleys. Had wait for a trolley for about 10 minutes. It's a bank holiday staff said you just have to wait.

I ordered a unit from Wickes which finally got delivered 5 weeks after the original delivery date. Some bits were not ordered at all and it was tough trying to get all the items I wanted. Not much in the way of compensation so I will not be returning back to this or any other Wickes store again in the future. Avoid if ordering items.
